Boni-Whip Active Antenna 20kHz - 300MHz Wide frequency range 20 kHz - 300 MHz Small dimensions Ideal for traveling, at home or DX-Camps The BONI-WHIP active antenna replaces the very successful Mini-Whip antenna. Despite its size (only approx. 17 cm long), it renders excellent reception results on longwave, mediumwave and shortwave and additionally for VHF up to 300 MHz. We developed this antenna ourselves and it is built here in Germany, so it really is “Made in Germany” by Bonito. The antenna offers a lot of improvements and better values than the original Mini-Whip. In our newsroom you can see a benchmark test between the Boni-Whip vs. the Mini.Whip: http://newsroom.bonito.net Even on very low frequencies the Boni-Whip produces very good reception results. It can be used beginning with 20 kHz and is a good choice for listeners who are interested in low frequencies. We also thought about radio listeners who are interested in high frequencies and extended the range to 300 MHz. Even with only a little effort you can achieve fantastic reception results; and because of its small size, the antenna can be erected inconspicuously. The active antenna circuitry is cased in a weather resistant box. The voltage supply is delivered by the antenna cable and the included power supply module. Boni-Whip: As flexible as you Because of its interchangeable radiating elements (Whips) the Boni-Whip can be used with different elements for experiments. The antenna can thus be adjusted to the surrounding environment or a special reception area. Customer comment I have performed extensive outdoor tests on the Boni-Whip at various locations in Germany, Austria, and USA; and even I am amazed that we have produced an antenna with such small size, mobility and excellent performance/price ratio. You will get a noticeably better antenna for almost the same price as the original Mini-Whip. Boni-Whip: Quality made in Germany The electronics of the Boni-Whip are manufactured in Germany by an ISO9000-certified assembly company in industrial quality and assembled by us in the Bonito QTH. Technical data Boni-Whip Frequency range: 20 kHz -300 MHz Voltage supply: 12V-15V Gain: 3dB Upper Frequency Limit: (-1db): 300 MHz IP3: +32.5 dBm IP2: +55 dBm What's in the Box: Boni-Whip active Antenna Junction box Whip / Radiator 5,5mm/2,1mm barrel DC power connector What else do i need? The Boni-Whip shortwave antenna is delivered without a coaxial cable, as everyone needs a different length. We offer you the right coaxial cables such as the H155 or the even better shielded Hyperflex 5 in different lengths. You need two coax cables: A coax cable between the Boni-Whip and the feeder with BNC plugs. In addition, another coaxial cable, from the feed switch (BNC plug) to your receiver. A stabilized 12V DC transformer power supply (no switching power supply!) Which can deliver approx. 150mA with a 5.5 / 2.1mm barrel connector is required for the power supply. The mast bracket, which is available in 28mm and 40mm, is useful for mounting on the mast etc. The OVP1000 surge arrester can also be useful for current weather events. To protect the BNC connector against weather influences, we offer a self-vulcanizing adhesive tape called NittoTape. If you want a little more amplification, you can also use the longer and flexible radiator, which brings approx 3 dB more level. Please note: The offered coaxial cables are custom-made and cannot be exchanged at a later date!Total length of the cable: cable cut +/- 3% + connector
Boni-Whip Marine Active Antenna 20kHz - 300MHz The Bonito Boni-Whip marine antenna is one of the smallest (only approx. 50cm long) long-, medium- and shortwave active antennas in the marine market. Despite its small size, it renders excellent reception. With its range of 20 kHz to 300 MHz, the antenna covers both shortwave and FM. The antenna amplifier is directly integrated in the antenna and is powered by a power inserter requiring 12-15 V. The circuit boards are multi- protected against corrosion and the bracket is made of stainless steel. The 2016 model has new housing and a new, longer and more flexible radiating element which results in signals which are stronger than before by 3dB. We only recommend on-board active antennas, in case you cannot use the aft stay or a long wire antenna because active antennas can often make interferences even stronger. We tested many antennas and found a good compromise with this in-house development and at a good price at that. Tip: I recommend you order a roll of Nittotape (self-sealing adhesive tape) at the same time to product connections and to prevent corrosion. MegActiv MA305FT Wide Band Active Antenna Wide frequency range 9kHz – 300MHz Small dimensions Dual Power Supply: 5,5V – 15V Selectable FM band stop filter with low pass function Ideal for traveling, at home or DX-Camps IP3:>typ. +30dBm / IP2:>typ. +50dBm Enlarged and flexible 200mm radiating element The new MegActiv MA305FT is an evolution of the popular MegActiv MA305. In addition to small improvements in electronics, the new MegActiv MA305FT has been equipped with a switchable FM band-stop filter. Thus, disturbing radiation from the FM band between 88 and 108 MHz can be easily minimized The new MegActiv MA305FT close the gap between the Boni-Whip and the GigActiv GA3005 E-Field Antennas. This low noise active antenna, which is produced according to the highest standards, covers the frequency range between 9kHz and 300MHz. With a radiating element of only 22 cm / 8,66 inch it can be erected inconspicuously. It can be powered with 5-15 V DC (max.10mA) and alternatively with the supplied Power unit CPI 1500DP via USB. Flexible FM-band stop filter Based on the well proven Megactiv platform, an additional low pass filter and a FM-band stop filter were integrated which can be activated or deactivated with a jumper. In case of FM-interferences, the FM bandstop filter can be activated with a jumper and so FM signals between 88 MHz and 108 MHz will be attenuated by 25 – 40 dB. Flexible power supply The MegActiv MA305FT can be operated by two different kinds of power sources. It can be powered either by a conventional plug power supply (5,5 / 2,1mm round plug) or via USB with a optional Cable. Powering via USB has the advantage that no external power supply is needed and that the antenna can be operated autonomously and noise-free with a separate USB PowerBank. The supply voltage range is 5 - 15V DC (10mA max) and thus the antenna is also well suited for portable use. You want to test the MegActiv MA305FT live on air? OMG ?! This antenna will amaze you! The MegaDipole 300DX is a broadband active dipole with a maximum upper working frequency of 300 MHz. The dipole reacts to the electrical component (E-Field) of the electromagnetic field and will deliver best results regarding signal strength and SNR (signal -to-noise-ratio) at locations with little or no locally generated interference. Nonetheless, the receiver to be coupled to this antenna should have a high enough dynamic range so that it can effectively process the received signals. In contrast to simple E-field antennas with only one radiating element, the symmetrical construction of the MegaDipole 300DX, will result in almost no negative resonance effects or reflections caused by the coaxial cable. First choice for DXer The MegaDipol MD300DX is the ideal antenna for DXers. Particularly in electrically quiet environments, it can really play to its strength in efficiently amplifying weak signals. In practical operations, a maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB was achieved! (see image ) Wideband With prodigious broadband capability and constant receive characteristics the MegaDipol MD300DX is ideal for wideband receivers, SDR's and WEB-SDR such as KiwiSDR etc. The MegaDipol MD300DX can of course also be operated on all other receivers, including lower-end SDRs and portable world receivers. Flexible power supply The MegaDipol is nominally supplied with 10 - 15V DC (max 40mA), however, it can be operated across a wide variety of supply voltages. The antenna can even be operated with slightly reduced IP values at the same gain with only 5 volts via USB. This offers a significant advantage in that you can supply the MegaDipol on trips away from the radio shack or DX expeditions autonomously, using a low-noise USB power-bank. "The MegaDipol has already attracted a lot of attention with its receive performance at various events such as DX-Camps, field days and in-house exhibitions. In these tests, the MD300DX surpassed the existing antennas usually by 10-15dB in the SNR." You want to test the MegaDipol MD300DX live on air? If you would like to test the MegaDipol MD300DX live, you can now conveniently do this over the Internet with a KIWI SDR. Just click on this Link and you can browse the whole band from 10kHz to 30MHz. The linked KIWI-SDR with a vertical MegaDipol MD300DX is in Ireland and can handle up to 4 users at a time. Switching is done via a toggle switch, provided that the corresponding type of radiator is connected. The standard delivery includes a 2 × 7.5 m universal radiator set, allowing for a wide range of different radiator configurations. By combining high-quality transformer materials with a wideband matching network, operation is also possible in the VLF range – typically a weak spot for passive antennas. As a passive system, no additional power supply is required. The BNC connector socket is splash-proof and mounted in a durable, UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing with a transparent cover. Flexible adaptation to the local interference environment Electromagnetic waves consist of two different components in the near field: H or B (magnetic field strength vector) E (electric field strength vector) The near field is defined as a maximum distance of one wavelength; beyond that, far-field conditions apply. While the two field strength vectors are 90° out of phase in the near field, they are no longer separated in the far field. Since most sources of interference are found below 3 MHz, near-field conditions already apply at distances of less than 100 m. In such cases, it can make sense to prefer or suppress the E- or H-component in the near field. Depending on local conditions and interference sources, one or the other field component may provide better reception results. Want to test the ALLMOPRAN 120 live?
