Galvanic Antenna Isolator GI1000 The GI1000 suppresses noise reaching the ground connections on the receiver. The GI1000 covers a wide-band range of 50 kHz - 1000 MHz (typ. 1db insertion loss). The unit can be used in many receiving applications, It will also work with frequencies up to 1,25 GHz but the insertion loss may increase by up to 3db. The unit also has integrated double over-voltage protection and input and output are blocked for DC voltage. The galvanic isolator GI 1000 separates the path of the direct current between the outer shield of the coax cable and the shielding of the antenna feeding line in order to suppress interference caused by potential differences. This is achieved by using a small toroidal transformer. The inner conductor of the coax cable is insulated with capacitors providing coarse and fine voltage surge protection. Specifications: Excellent protection against sheath waves and voltage surges.Double voltage surge protection. On the antenna side Gas Discharge tube with an ignition voltage of 90v. On the receiver side you will find an ESD-diode (30KV; max.pulse power 350W (8/20μs) Input and output has been blocked for direct currents of max. 50V. The GI 1000 is very useful for owners of a PERSEUS SDR who still own the original switching power supply. This little troublemaker has made life hard for many a PERSEUS owner. Caution: Only suitable for reception purposes, high RF performance (> + 10dBm) cause permanent damage!
CCMC30 Common Mode Noise Filter Noise filters are nothing new and are often used for transmitting purposes. They are used to prevent unwanted radiation via the coax shielding. It is less known that they can also suppress unwanted radiation when receiving signals, especially when an active antenna is used. However, in this case, the situation is reversed: en route to the antenna, unwanted interferences from electric home appliances can be effectively eliminated. NTi's Coaxial Common Mode Noise Filter (CCMC30) has been especially optimized for maximum common mode noise rejection of >30dB wide band in the frequency range of 150kHz - 30MHz. With slight limitations a much wider frequency range is covered. In the medium wave range for example a noise suppression of up to 45 dB can be achieved. This is possible by using a cascaded system of ferrite cores with various frequency dependent material properties, combined with high quality coaxial cable. For outdoor use, the system is housed in a water-proof enclosure. We recommend to connect the CCMC30 as closely as possible to the receiver. With regard to efficient noise suppression, the CCMC 30 is not very much different from the galvanic isolator GI1000. However, the CCMC30 performes down to lowest frequencies including DC voltage, in contrast to the GI1000, which blocks DC voltages and very low frequencies. The CCMC30 can thus be connected directly to the coax cable which passes the supply voltage or the control signals to the active antenna. A series connection of the GI1000 directly connected to the receiver followed by the CCMC30 right behind the power inserter may result in an even better performance. Not only did it decrease clipping without attenuator inline, it eliminates the DC clips with attenuator engaged!!! I can say from experience, the OVP1000 is reasonably priced, protection device that offers no noticeable insertion loss of signal & obviously drops the induced static… Read the Article in the Bonito Newsroom Please read carefully and Disclaimer:The OVP 1000 is no protection of the antenna line against direct lightning strike, since lightning always seeking kürzsten way to Earth, which does not necessarily take place via the coaxial cable. Therefore, the protection function is limited to overvoltages and potential differences between Koaxmasse (shield and inner conductor). Therefore, a liability for connected devices is generally excluded! When not in use, absence, broadcasting or lightning storms in the receiver should be disconnected to prevent damage from the antenna line! Made in Germany
MegaLoop FX Active Loop Antenna Probably the most flexible active loop antenna Ultra broadband frequency range from 9kHz - 180MHz High dynamic range with an IP of typ. +40 dB and IP 2 of typ. +85 dB Power requirements: 5V - 15V Selectable FM band stop filter with low pass function Selectable amplification in three steps Various radiating elements and sizes can be used Indoor and outdoor use Additional ground terminal (M5) on the enclosure High-quality craftsmanship; splash-water proof enclosure; all screw terminals made of stainless steel Small packaging = small shipping costs Ideal for outdoor use because dismountable and USB power supply The Megaloop FX is our latest active loop amplifier for the 9kHz to max. 180MHz range. It combines all the outstanding features of the successful MegaLoop ML 200 and ML 052. Due to its integrated selectable FM band stop filter and the three-step amplification a maximum of flexibility for all kinds of use is possible. Flexible range of application This broadband magnetic loop antenna is especially suitable for places with difficult reception due to electrical interferences (E-field) in the near-field area, it is also made for indoor use or on the balcony/patio. You can put it up in the attic, at the window, on the balcony, in the carport fixed to the wall or permanently attached to a mast. Flexible FM-band stop filter Based on the well proven MegaLoop platform, an additional low pass filter and a FM-band stop filter were integrated which can be activated or deactivated with a jumper. In case of FM-interferences, the FM bandstop filter can be activated with a jumper and so FM signals between 88 MHz and 108 MHz will be attenuated by 25 - 40 dB. Flexible three-step amplification The gain of the MegaLoop FX can be adjusted in three steps by an internal jumper (High/Medium/Low)Frequency response (-3dB) and nominal amplification. a) FM-band stop off1. High Gain: 9 kHz - 110 MHz and 25 dB gain2. Medium Gain: 9 kHz - 150 MHz and 20 dB gain3. Low Gain: 9 kHz - 180 MHz and 15 dB gain b) FM- band stop on:1. High Gain: 9 kHz - 52 MHz and 25 db gain2. Medium Gain: 9 kHz - 60 MHz and 20 dB gain3. Low Gain 9 kHz - 66 MHz and 15 dB gain Flexible loop sizes The MegaLoop FX makes the most diverse radiating elements possible. As standard, a loop made of flexible PVC-coated and seawater-resistant (V4A) stainless steel wire is available. It comes as a 5m (16,40ft) circumference loop for indoor and portable as well as for outdoor use. Other lengths, such as 10m (32,81ft), are on offer. Even lengths up to 20m (65,62ft) have successfully been tested. Additionally, an aluminum rigid loop with a diameter of 40 cm or 80 cm is also available. Due to its versatility and adjustment of amplification, there will always be an ideal combination of the loop size and amplification. Excellent IP values with power supply as low as 5V With two signals in the 7 MHz range, an excellent IP3 value of typ. +40 dB and a IP 2 value of +85 dBm is achieved with mere 5 V ( max. 40mA) and so the loop can be powered via USB or power bank. A DualPower power inserter (bias tee) supply is included in the standard scope of delivery. The MegaLoop can be operated by two different kinds of power sources. It can be powered either by a conventional plug power supply (5,5 / 2,1mm round plug) or optional Cable via USB. Powering via USB has the advantage that no external power supply is needed and that the antenna can be operated independently and noise-free with a separate USB PowerBank. The supply voltage range is 5 - 15V DC (40mA max) and thus the antenna is also well suited for portable use. Integrated threefold surge protection of the active parts Coarse protection by gas arrester with 60V trigger voltage and a max. pulse leakage current of 1 kA (8/20µs) and by twofold additional integrated fine protection of max. 2 kV and 8 kV respectively. Additionally, the loop connections are connected to ground with high impedance to avoid static charges. Low shipping costs - no bulky item ! Since the antenna can be shipped as such a small parcel, there will only be standard postage and when ordering a rigid loop of 1m or 2m diameter you will already save about 35,-€ compared to shipping as a bulk item. Hint: With two suction cups you can attach the MegaLoop antenna to a window at home, in a hotel or when on the road. Because of its flexible loop, transportation is really a piece of cake. In our newsroom test " Design of a really portable SDR Part 2" I simply put the loop over the tailgate of our Caddy and was able to receive signals beautifully. LP060 Low Pass Filter The elliptically-formed low pass filter LP060 from NTi suppresses all frequencies above 60 MHz. Highly effective antennas combined with near-by strong FM stations often overburden the input of the radio and cause interference and phantom signals. The LP060 was developed aiming at the highest possible suppression in the 88MHz - 108 MHz FM band, whereas as the 6m amateur radio band at 50MHz is still totally within the pass band. For the greatest possible effectiveness, the low pass filter should be inserted directly before the receiver input.

OMG ?! This antenna will amaze you! The MegaDipole 300DX is a broadband active dipole with a maximum upper working frequency of 300 MHz. The dipole reacts to the electrical component (E-Field) of the electromagnetic field and will deliver best results regarding signal strength and SNR (signal -to-noise-ratio) at locations with little or no locally generated interference. Nonetheless, the receiver to be coupled to this antenna should have a high enough dynamic range so that it can effectively process the received signals. In contrast to simple E-field antennas with only one radiating element, the symmetrical construction of the MegaDipole 300DX, will result in almost no negative resonance effects or reflections caused by the coaxial cable. First choice for DXer The MegaDipol MD300DX is the ideal antenna for DXers. Particularly in electrically quiet environments, it can really play to its strength in efficiently amplifying weak signals. In practical operations, a maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB was achieved! (see image ) Wideband With prodigious broadband capability and constant receive characteristics the MegaDipol MD300DX is ideal for wideband receivers, SDR's and WEB-SDR such as KiwiSDR etc. The MegaDipol MD300DX can of course also be operated on all other receivers, including lower-end SDRs and portable world receivers. Flexible power supply The MegaDipol is nominally supplied with 10 - 15V DC (max 40mA), however, it can be operated across a wide variety of supply voltages. The antenna can even be operated with slightly reduced IP values at the same gain with only 5 volts via USB. This offers a significant advantage in that you can supply the MegaDipol on trips away from the radio shack or DX expeditions autonomously, using a low-noise USB power-bank. "The MegaDipol has already attracted a lot of attention with its receive performance at various events such as DX-Camps, field days and in-house exhibitions. In these tests, the MD300DX surpassed the existing antennas usually by 10-15dB in the SNR." You want to test the MegaDipol MD300DX live on air? ALLMOPRAN 120 – Passive Allmode Receiving Antenna 20 kHz – 120 MHz Extremely wideband frequency range from 20 kHz to 120 MHz Compatible with different radiator types and sizes Inputs and output protected by fast 70V gas discharge arrestors Switchable input-side limiter (2 Vpp) Additional grounding terminal (M5) on the housing High-quality workmanship; splash-proof housing, all screw connections made of stainless steel Universal radiator set included: 2 × 7.5 m PVC-coated stainless steel wire rope Compact packaging = low shipping costs Universally configurable The ALLMOPRAN 120 from NTi is an innovative passive receiving antenna for demanding applications and a true all-rounder. It can be configured for connection with the following radiator types: Dipole (balanced) or End-fed (unbalanced) Loop (balanced or single-ended grounded) The ALLMOPRAN can therefore be configured for either H-mode or E-mode operation. Switching is done via a toggle switch, provided that the corresponding type of radiator is connected. The standard delivery includes a 2 × 7.5 m universal radiator set, allowing for a wide range of different radiator configurations. By combining high-quality transformer materials with a wideband matching network, operation is also possible in the VLF range – typically a weak spot for passive antennas. As a passive system, no additional power supply is required. The BNC connector socket is splash-proof and mounted in a durable, UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing with a transparent cover. Flexible adaptation to the local interference environment Electromagnetic waves consist of two different components in the near field: H or B (magnetic field strength vector) E (electric field strength vector) The near field is defined as a maximum distance of one wavelength; beyond that, far-field conditions apply. While the two field strength vectors are 90° out of phase in the near field, they are no longer separated in the far field. Since most sources of interference are found below 3 MHz, near-field conditions already apply at distances of less than 100 m. In such cases, it can make sense to prefer or suppress the E- or H-component in the near field. Depending on local conditions and interference sources, one or the other field component may provide better reception results. Want to test the ALLMOPRAN 120 live?
