Adapter cable BNC-jack made of Hyperflex 5 crystal low loss coaxial cable to connect external antennas with BNC-plug to the antenna input of a Receiver with SMA connector like Winradio, Kiwi-SDR, RTL-Play, Elad S2 etc.
Most smaller SDR receivers have an external antenna connection which is SMA. If you want to use an external antenna with BNC connection, you need an adapter. Since the standard adapter jack on PL, then further from PL to BNC, are much too large and bulky for the radios, the jack socket on the receiver quickly turns off and contact difficulties occur after a short time. In the worst case, the jack must be replaced.
With this adapter cable the SMA connector of the Receiver is relieved and in most cases you can connect the external antenna / the bias tee directly.
The available lengths are based on most customers needs. Other lengths are available and can be delivered according to your request. Should you need other lengths or plugs, please, contact us; we are happy to help.
The Hyperflex 5 crystal cable is a doubly shielded low loss coax cable with a 5.4mm diameter. It is extremely flexible with a very low dampening factor and excellent shielding.
We have discribed the major differences between Hyperflex 5 and RG58U with many real examples in a Bonito Newsroom article: "Why even good antennas need good Coax cable": Read more
