Our (W2DU) Feedline Chokes are built strictly from premium quality material.

The PL-259 UHF coax connectors, double-UHF female connector and coax cable are sourced from our long time German suppliers and are well proven.

The ferrite cylindrical cores are sourced directly from the manufacturer.

You should plan about 1 hour of work-time for the construction of the RF Choke. You will need a soldering iron and solder, a heat gun (lighter if necessary) and scissors or cutting tool to strip the cable.

These broadband RF Chokes have about 1000 Ohm Common Mode Impedance from 160 - 6m.

The kit contains the following material for building the RF Choke:

  • 50 cm coax cable RG-142
  • 50 cm heat shrink tubing 9/3mm
  • 2x PL-259 connector
  • PL double female connector)
  • 12x ferrite cores (cylindrical) CST9.5/5.1/15-3S4
  • 6x ferrites cores (cylindrical) LFB095051-000

Mantelwellensperre / RFI-Choke 1KW Version Diese Mantelwellensperre vermeidet, dass die Abschirmung des Koaxialkabels nicht Teil des Antennensystems wird und ungewollt abstrahlt. Darüberhinaus dient sie der Anpassung des unsymmetrischen Koaxkabels an symmetrische Antennen und kann daher auch als "1:1" Balun verwendet werden. Die Mantelwellensperre 1KW ist ca 45cm lang, sehr breitbandig und verfügt über ca. 1000 Ohm Sperrdämfung im Frequenzbereich von 160m - 2m. Sie ist wetterfest eingeschrumpft und hat 2 hochwertige PL259 Stecker mit PTFE-Dialektrikum und Goldkontakt an den Enden. Ein PL258 Verbinder auch mt PTFE und Goldkontakt ist im Lieferumfang enthalten. WICHTIG! Platzieren Sie die Mantelwellensperre 1KW im Falle einer End Fed-Antenne nicht direkt am Speisepunkt der Antenne!Zwischen dem Transformer der End Fed und der Mantelwellensperren sollte ein Koaxkabel mit einer Länge von >= λ 0,05 (bei 80m etwa 4,20m) eingefügt werden.
